The S-18-100T unidirectional latching solenoid uses an internal permanent magnet to hold the plunger after a brief actuation pulse. No continuous coil power is required while the plunger remains latched, reducing steady-state power consumption and heat generation. The plunger is actuated with a voltage pulse and released with a reverse-polarity pulse.
